Federal judges in New Jersey opted Tuesday for not appointing Trump’s former lawyer Alina Haba, as the main federal prosecutor of the State permanently.
Haba, who was previously a personal lawyer for President Donald Trump, had been the US prosecutor of the New Jersey district since Trump appointed her for the position in March.
In a brief order on Tuesday, the judges said they appointed the first assistant Desiree Leigh Grace as the New Jersey United States prosecutor.
Haba served as Trump’s legal spokesman in several cases after he left the White House in 2021.
When Trump resumed the presidency this year, she was one of the four of her defense lawyers to be appointed for publications in her administration, including Todd Blanche, Emil Bove and John Sauer.

“Alina is the election of President Trump to lead,” said Blanche, the attached attorney general, on social networks after the judges’ decision was announced. “No partisan bank can cancel that.”
In his mandate as a US prosecutor, he left a brand in politically charged cases, bringing prosecutors against the mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, and the American representative Lamonica Mciver, both Democrats.
He also challenged the New Jersey State Police about sanctuary policies related to the application of immigration.
