California Democrat Pete Aguilar press say that the National Guard troops were sent to Los Angeles without food and water and had to sleep on the floor.
“The commanders and the troops in the field are very well prepared, sir,” Hegseth replied. “They responded incredibly quickly to a deteriorated situation with the equipment and capabilities … There are times when you do the best you can temporarily, but we ensure that they are housed, fed, water capabilities in real time from my office because I care about the guard of California and the marines and the men and women who support crises on the ground.”

Hegseth posted Two images in x On Monday with a message addressed to Trump: “He sent his troops here without fuel, food, water or a sleeping place. Here they are forced to sleep on the floor, stacked one on top of each other. If someone treats our troops with respect, you are you.”
