The smoke of the more than 700 forest fires in Canada continues to cover parts of the west medium.
Air quality alerts are in force in cities such as Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit and Des Moines, Iowa. Most alerts refer to sensitive groups, but in northern Minnesota, northern Wisconsin and the upper Peninsula of Michigan, air quality could be considered unhealthy for all sometimes.
Much of the west medium will see that conditions improve on Sunday, since the smoke pushes east for the rest of the region of the great lakes.

Meanwhile, in the south, there is a high risk of sudden flooding in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, where shower and storms are forecast scattered for Saturday afternoon. Storms strong and slow motion storms could fall the rain to 1 to 2 inches per hour.
Dispersed electric storms could also hit the plains, from the Texas Panhandle to west Nebraska, Saturday night. They are possible bursts of wind, hail and sudden floods.
And in the West, an extreme heat warning is in force for portions of Arizona, including the cities of Phoenix and Tucson. Temperatures could exceed 110 degrees in Phoenix in the next few days.
The warm, dry and windy climate in the West is also creating dangerous fire conditions. The red flag warnings are in force for parts of Utah, Colorado, Idaho and Oregon. In eastern Oregon and South of Idaho, dry rays during the isolated thunderstorms could start new fires.
