A prayer service of Rosario is underway in the Plaza de San Pedro in the city of the Vatican.
Before the first reading, Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archipiest of Saint Peter’s Basilica, reads an introduction. He pointed out how Pope Francis asked people to pray for him so many times, and now, “we want to pray for him.”

“We want to thank the Lord for the gifts he has given the entire Church with the apostolic ministry of Pope Francis, a pilgrim of hope that does not disappoint, and we want to entrust the merciful father, in communion with Mary, the queen of heaven and through the intercession of Pedro Apostle,” he said.
