On Tuesday, a federal judge permanently blocked the Trump administration to enforce an executive order addressed to the Wilmerhal law firm, after ruling the order clearly violates the United States Constitution.
“The cornerstone of the American justice system is an independent judiciary and an independent bar willing to address unpopular cases, by discouraging. Founding parents knew it!” District Judge Richard Leon wrote, a designated President George W. Bush.
“For the reasons established below, I have concluded that this order must be attacked in its entirety as unconstitutional. In fact, govern otherwise would be unfaithful to the trial and vision of the founding parents!”

Leon is now the third judge to tear down one of Trump’s executive orders aimed at law firms who have represented their political adversaries or have used them differently.
Wilmerhale previously used former special advisor Robert Mueller, who investigated the ties between Russia and the Trump campaign in 2016.
“In summary, the order and the report sheet make it clear that President Trump disadvantages Wilmerhale’s representation of certain causes and statements of the company with respect to Mueller,” Leon said in his ruling on Tuesday. “The order suppresses that the speech disadvantaged by imposing severe sanctions on Wilmerhale, both directly and indirectly.
It is not clear if the Trump administration will appeal Leon’s decision.
