According to the Sheriff, the alleged armed man who fatally ambushed firefighters in Coeur d’Airne, Idaho, has been killed, according to the Sheriff.
The Swat team members responded to a deceased man in Canfield Mountain with a nearby firearm, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s office.
Sunday’s ambush left two people dead and another wound after firefighters broke out while responding to a fire in Canfield Mountain.
Kootenai County Sheriff, Robert Norris, said during a press conference that it is believed that the two deaths are firefighters.

The injured individual, who suffered a gunshot wound in the attack, was taken to the Kootenai Health Hospital, the medical center confirmed to ABC News.
The incident developed at approximately 1:30 pm local time after the small but continuous brush fire broke out.
When firefighters responded to the fire about half an hour later, they began to receive a shot by an unknown person in the forest, authorities said.

Police are investigating whether the fire could have intentionally established to attract the first to respond, he told ABC News, Lieutenant of the Kootenai County Sheriff, Jeff Howard.
The refuge order in the place has risen for Canfield Mountain Trailhead and its surroundings, but residents are advised to supervise updates on the ongoing fire.

The FBI attended the authorities in Kootenai County, said a spokesman for the agency to ABC News.
Idaho Governor Brad Little, described the incident as an “atrocious direct assault on our brave firefighters.”
“Multiple heroic firefighters were attacked today while responding to a fire in the north of Idaho,” Little wrote in a Publish in x. “I ask all the Idaho. That they pray for them and their families while we wait to learn more,” he added.
The Secretary of National Security Kristi Noem has been informed about the shooting, a DHS official to ABC News told ABC News.
